As founder of McCaig Law Offices, Rose Ellen has developed a family law practice with exceptionally high standards.

An accomplished, dynamic negotiator and litigator, Rose Ellen has represented clients in almost every county in Massachusetts including regular representation of clients on Nantucket. She has a high success rate in court while always protecting her client’s integrity.

Whether the situation calls for an aggressive trial strategy or a less adversarial one, Rose Ellen’s clear, confident vision and straightforward style moves the process forward towards the best possible conclusion.

Rose Ellen McCaig was born Rose Ellen Kohn in Brooklyn, New York and has lived in Massachusetts since 1975. She graduated cum laude with distinction from Boston University in 1979 and from Boston College Law School in 1991. Formerly of Perkins, Smith and Cohen, LLP (now Burns and Levinson, LLP), Rose Ellen started her own firm in Wellesley and has now been in Boston’s Back Bay since 2003. Rose Ellen lectures frequently and has published a chapter on negotiation in Money Order: The Money Management Guide for Women Simon & Schuster, New York, N.Y.

As an accomplished athlete and a former fitness trainer, Rose Ellen brings an additional and unique perspective to her law practice. She knows how to help her clients define goals and accomplish them. She can overcome obstacles or limitations, and deals fearlessly and effectively with high-conflict and other challenging personality types.
